The brief for the cottages was to breathe new life into the old cottage building, yet like the city, keep its small-town charm.
Designed with the perfect lodging in mind. All 28 private cottages are serene, bright, airy, and comfortable, each with their own private patio garden, surrounding a tranquil courtyard shaded by a 300-year-old oak tree. Rustic and quiet with a hint of a bold hip vibe, the red colored vanities set a tone for a wonder filled surprise with charming and intimate details. Cerused oak finishes are used throughout to pay homage to the property oak tree and make the rooms blend into its natural surroundings. At the heart of the property stands the 300-year-old oak tree. It proudly provides comfort and shade during the day, and a retrieve with firepits, a softly lit ambiance in the evenings, and cozy corners by nighttime. A guest experience that can only be described as “you have to be there”.
